Cowboy Up

A few weeks ago my family started planning a fun trip to our favorite vacation spot (St George UT.) I was told by my supervisor at work that I had too many vacation hours and I needed to take some time off work before I lose it. The whole family got the time off work and so did Jon so he could come with us. A couple days before we were suppose to leave plans changed and my sister’s family wasn’t able to go anymore and my brother ended up having to work. Because I had this vacation time I needed to use up Jon decided to come up to Flagstaff and spend the time with me. We ALMOST talked ourselves into going to California, Las Vegas, Mexico, St George, and a few other places, but instead ended up staying in Flagstaff. Even though I didn’t get to go on a real vacation I still ended up doing a lot of my favorite things. The first day Jon was nice enough to go running with me in the morning even though he was still sore from running his half marathon the weekend before. The rest of the day we spent shopping, eating, and watching my nephew’s t-ball game. The next day we drove to Sedona and walked around all of the tourist shops. We only stopped in a few of them. They don’t exactly have good shopping, but at least the town was pretty. Next time we will have to try out a Pink Jeep tour or a hike.
