I wish I could ignore writing about me wearing this “cute” one piece pink footy bunny pajama suit with ears and let you think what you want about it, but for journaling purposes I think I will write about it so someday I can remember why I am wearing something so ridiculous.
Several months ago Jon sent me a link to a website that sold footy pajamas for adults. We both laughed at how ridiculous they were and even more that they came with bunny ears. The pictures on the website showed guy and girl couples wearing matching ones. Come on people do you really wear these things? We kept saying we were going to get them for each other someday. I had forgotten all about them until I opened my first Christmas present from him. Of course he got it for me why wouldn’t he? He loves to embarrass me whenever possible! Especially in front of my family! :) I’ll be honest I loved it and it provided lots of laughs. I can’t wait to order a matching pair for him then we will see who is laughing :) For Christmas my parents bought me a 40" Flatscreen for my bedroom. Since my brother recently moved out I decided the T.V would fit better in his room. So we spent the rest of the day setting up the T.V and moving all my furniture into my new room. After dinner we all went to visit my brother at the fire dept since he couldn’t be with us for Christmas. The next day we all went over to my sister’s house for games and fondue. Jon and I prepared it and decided to make it like “The Melting Pot” So we made a Rachel Ray Chocolate Fondue dip with strawberries, bananas, rice krispy treats, marshmallows, and pretzels.

Christmas Bunny
My family had several traditions growing up; one that I have missed more than anything was having slumber parties with my brother and sister on Christmas Eve. We always made a fort or a huge bed that we would sleep in while dreaming and talking to each other about what we thought Santa would bring us. We would leave out cookies and milk then wake up bright and early hoping our parents would let us go downstairs to see what we got.
My parents never let us go downstairs until they brushed their teeth, turned on Christmas music, and had the video camera ready to tape us as we ran down the stairs. It always felt like it took them hours and I’m pretty sure my dad always took his time on purpose to make us stand at the top of the stairs with anticipation.
Some may mock that I still live at home with my parents but I consider myself lucky. I love every minute that I get to spend there. This year the traditions continued and our family was fortunate enough to have Jonathan with us for Christmas. Christmas Eve we always eat pizza, open a new pair of pajamas, and watch “A King Is Born”. I had to work until 10:00 that night so when I got home all the fun activities were over.
Modeling our new P.J's (sweatpants) Chrismas Eve
When I got home from work on Christmas Eve Jon was in the kitchen cooking. He made my families entire Christmas breakfast the night before so all we had to do was put it in the oven when we woke up! He used all of his mom’s recipes and the food was so delicious! I’m still impressed!! He made a hash brown casserole that had eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, and cheese on top. He also made “Monkey Bread” or “Sticky Buns” as some people call it, I wish I had taken a picture of it. He is so impressive he amazes me more and more everyday.
Jon and I built a fort, watched “Elf” on my laptop and talked about what we thought Santa would bring us. We woke up at 8:30 and of course my parent’s had to video tape us as we headed downstairs to see what Santa brought. (NO we are not too old for this) :)
