Surprise!!

Happy Birthday to me!! So, usually I complain that I'm not a big fan of my birthday, but not this year!! This year my birthday was great for many reasons, but the top two reasons are: 1) My wonderful boyfriend, Jonathan! 2) My Amazing Family!

The weekend before my birthday I drove down to Phoenix to spend a Birthday Weekend with Jon. Friday night started out at the Diamondbacks game - they got whooped by the Anaheim Angels but it was still fun!

Every Friday night after the game there is a Fireworks show. Since the D-backs were losing so bad, we decided it wasn't even worth it to wait around for the fireworks and left in the 8th inning. That turned out to be a GOOD thing! Jon took me for dessert at the Compass Room, which is on the 24th story of the Hyatt in downtown Phoenix right by the stadium. The whole entire restaurant rotates while you are eating so you get a full 360 degree view of the whole city. As we were eating our dessert, the rotation of the restaurant turned out PERFECTLY! Right as we rotated in the direction of Chase Field, the Fireworks Show started. It was a full 30 minutes of the best fireworks I have ever seen! It was amazing to be at the same height as the fireworks as they went off...not to mention, very romantic. :) The next day, Jon took me to get a Mud Wrap and Massage. He even did it with me (no he is not gay)! After that we got my favorite Bahama Bucks drink and watched Transformers 2 - I may have fallen asleep during the movie. After the movie we went out and ate my favorite food - Italian! When I got home from Phoenix, I walked in to see that my family had totally decorated my bedroom for my birthday! It was awesome! Then when I woke up that morning, they had also decorated my car! Next they took me out for my favorite IHOP breakfast - Stuffed French Toast! Later that night my family had a lot of surprises for me! First, they blind-folded me and took me to a nice restaurant on the golf course, which I did not expect. Second, Jon had coordinated with my family to show up and surprise me at dinner! He wasn't supposed to come up until the next day - I had NO idea he was coming and I LOVED the surprise!

After dinner we went back to my house, ate cake and opened presents. Needless to say, I have no reason to complain about my birthday this year!!!!! :)
